Madelyn Rothe

Paralegal

Maddy is in her final year of Bachelor of Laws/Bachelor of Commerce (Finance) at Deakin University as a Vice Chancellor’s Professional Excellence Scholar. 

Raised in Ballarat, Maddy feels passionate about working within her community to achieve just outcomes for clients. She prides herself on her dedication, attention to detail and enthusiasm, reflected in her Distinction average at Deakin and her involvement in many volunteer positions, including mentoring first-year students and acting as Treasurer of the Deakin Law Students’ Society. 

Having studied International Financial Law at the London School of Economics, she has a particular interest in complex financial and commercial disputes. Maddy is a skilled and passionate advocate, having won the Coulter Roache Social Justice Moot and Harwood Andrews Negotiation Competition, and was selected to compete in the Willem C. Vis International Commercial Arbitration Moot against over 300 international universities. She looks forward to graduating in 2022 and is eager to help clients with a compassionate, empathetic and commercially savvy approach.
