David Andrewartha

David joins Nevett Wilkinson Frawley in 2024 with almost two decades of top tier law firm experience in property law working at MinterEllison and DLA Piper, and most recently as Senior Legal Counsel with the Victorian Government’s development authority, Development Victoria.  He also draws on experiences as a plantation forester and officer in the Australian Army Reserves, in providing meaningful strategies and practical legal advice across all areas of property law.

David has expansive experience acting for developers, landlords, tenants, vendors, purchasers across all types of transactions involving conveyancing, subdivisions, retail and commercial leasing, renewable energy leases, adverse possession, owners corporations, compulsory acquisition, forestry and carbon rights, roads, crown land, local government and planning related matters.  David has managed large leasing portfolios for national clients, led multi-million-dollar developments and complex investment transactions. He has advised on a range of agricultural land transactions involving water shares, and solar and windfarm projects.  He has also advised clients on a wide range of statutory powers relating to roads, water, electricity, local government and other Victorian government authorities.  Having worked for a wide range of entities, David will bring deep negotiation insights to your transactions.
